Ecolodge Tanail

The ecolodge was built in the form of a typical clay houses village in the Bekaa and contains seven such houses with common areas known as:

• sahat, interior courtyard 
• rwaq, hallway 
• liwan, a common area between two houses, with the front opened to the courtyard. 
• tannour, baking oven 
• iin djej, chicken coop 
• matbakh, kitchen

The rooms

Each clay house is considered a guestroom, each contains a private bathroom with hot water heated by a solar energy system installed on the ecolodge roof.

Housing system

Accommodation in the rooms respects the region’s traditional lifestyle, visitors sleep on floor mattresses furnished in wool rugs. Pillows, towels and blankets are provided by the ecolodge, and a WIFI internet connection is also available for free.

Housing capacity: 40 people 

• 5 of the 7 houses can accommodate 4 to 5 people each

• 2 of the 7 houses can accommodate 5 to 6 people each

Heating

In winters, the rooms are equipped with “soubia” stoves which function using crude oil. In times of need, visitors can purchase a gallon of oil (5L) for 5 USD (sufficient for one night in the clay houses).

Rates

Overnight stay at the lodge is $ 30 / person during week days (Sunday to Thursday) including breakfast.
For the weekend: 40$/person without breakfast, 50$/person with breakfast, 100$/couple with breakfast and 150$/family (5 to 6 persons)

Cancellation policy

Upon reservation, an initial payment of 50% of the total price is required in cash, check or bank transfer to the following account: "BLOM Bank 204-01-304-1422723-1-8 for LBP or 204-01-304-1422723-1-7 for USD". Refundable cancellation is available 4 days in advance of the reservation date, otherwise the 50% deposit will be charged. During holiday and high season, it is best to book a week in advance and 15 days in advance for weekend reservations.
